Deprecation of FTP Support due to Security issues
We are writing to inform you about an important change to our services. As part of our ongoing commitment to the security and integrity of our platform, we have made the decision to deprecate support for File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
FTP, while historically popular, lacks sufficient security measures that are standard in modern protocols. It does not encrypt data, leaving it vulnerable to interception and tampering. In light of these security concerns and in line with industry best practices, we will be discontinuing FTP support.
The deprecation will take effect starting 30 days from today. We strongly encourage all users currently using FTP for file transfers to switch to more secure methods, such as SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) or FTPS (FTP Secure), which offer encrypted connections.
We understand that this transition may require adjustments on your part. Our support team is available to assist you through this change and provide guidance on how to migrate to more secure file transfer protocols.
We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and thank you for your understanding. The decision to deprecate FTP support was not taken lightly and is rooted in our steadfast commitment to the security of our platform and your data.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or require assistance.
