guid()

Creates a new random GUID as 36 lower-case characters with hyphens, for example 3f2504e0-4f89-41d3-9a0c-0305e82c3301. Available as guid() and docly.guid(); crypto.randomUUID() gives the same format.

Parameters

This function takes no parameters.

Returns

A random GUID as a string.
